Our first year
Wednesday, November 3, 2010
Josh and I began dating about a week before he left for his first year of college about 3.5 hours away. I was still at home finishing up my senior year of high school. Our love was sparkly and new . . . and we had no choice but to be sure that it was strong, too. He was attending school to major in computer science and still fulfill the duties he had since receiving his full-ride scholarship to play baseball. We knew that we wouldn't be seeing each other more than once every other month so we talked on the phone. A lot. When I got home from school, I waited by my phone until he got home from practice and we talked until the wee hours in the morning. And did it all over again the next day.
Until his dad stepped in.
What?! Only 1 hour a day? He has got to be crazy!! "I know babe, we'll just have to talk more online, I guess." Yeah, that kinda sucked. It was much more different than actually hearing his voice and being able to hear about his day, how practice went, what new schemes his evil roommates plotted that day. We thought of almost every idea in the books: chatting via webcams, leaving each other looong voicemails until it beeped (hoping that wouldn't reflect used minutes), text messages, surprise letters. He wouldn't let me drive to visit since I hadn't had much experience driving on the highway since the nightmare. But, along with his not-often-enough visits back home, I was able to visit twice that year with my soon-to-be roommates.
I suppose it was more than enough to get us through our first year apart. We spent every moment of every day that Summer and into our first year of school together. Being 3.5 hours away from home was all the more reason. But, that's another story for another day.

Something is missing
Monday, March 15, 2010
I finally got my diploma in the mail this week! Yes, I did use diploma as a singular noun. As you know, I double majored in Sociology and Pyschology with a certificate in Mental Health. Sociology is part of the Arts and Psychology is part of the Sciences. Well . . . as you can see from the picture below, something is missing. After looking at my transcript, it said that I have been awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree and my academic plan was to major in Sociology and Psychology. Well, since I majored in both, I should have both degrees, right? WRONG! According to a UW-P policy (which I was told nothing about), if you choose to get a dual degree (a Bachelor in both Arts and Science), then you must complete all of the requirements under both majors and complete an additional 30 credits, which brings you to at least 150 credits when you graduate. I graduated with 130 credits. So, this means that I do not have my second degree . . . or at least they think.

How does she know all of this?!
Friday, February 19, 2010
Yesterday I was about to tell you about how I was going to embark on this biiig adventure. For a class of mine, I have to do this very detailed family tree/history project. Honestly, I was going to "BS" the whole thing because I know nothing about my family (as I told you in a different blog). But, I figured that one day, my kids will want to know where they came from (in a biological sense . . . not physical haha!), so I should just tackle this project and try my hardest. For both my interest and possibly for my kid's.
So, I sent a message to each of my family members on Facebook that could give me any kind of information about themselves or our shared family members. Then, this biiig adventure came to a screeching halt. My uncle's ex-wife (who knows me and my sister very well. 'nother story, 'nother time) replied to my message lickety-split. This wasn't just any message reply, this was a book. A long storybook. She gave me pretty much all of the information that I needed. How does she know all of this?! She gave me the dirt haha! I never knew any of the information she gave me. It's interesting that she knows all of this because she mentioned a while back that one thing she didn't like about our family was that nobody showed interest in any other person. Nobody kept up with anyone else. She also expressed her desire that her kids (my cousins) will one day establish that "old, traditional" family-style. I like her. :-]
So, the project is due in 2 weeks and I am going to start on it tonight. I was going to present it via PowerPoint, but because Sully is here now, I can be really different and creative and make a big posterboard. So, when the project is finished, I think I will share a picture of it with you! :-]

A moment of honesty
Wednesday, January 27, 2010
Okay, let me take a moment and just be plain honest. I miss Parkside.
Last night, I decided to leave class (in Milwaukee) because I was tired. I thought okay since it took me an hour to get here and will take an hour to get home, I better sit in class longer than 2 hours. So, I did. At 7:30, I left. I just was not feeling it. I could not sit there for 2 and a half more hours. It felt so good to be home at 9 (and not 11) and eat dinner with Josh.
What am I doing tonight? Sitting at Parkside in the library doing nonsense things on the Internet. What am I supposed to be doing? Sitting in class in Milwaukee taking notes. I just cannot get in the swing of sitting in class when I am supposed to be graduated working and making money. I'm still taking classes and not working as a Social Worker like I should/want to be.
Like I was saying, I miss Parkside. Josh has a night class, so I figured I should come with him. It would make me feel less guilty for not being where I am supposed to be. Ha! The 25 minute ride here was great! The big parking lot and fighting for a parking spot was great. The enormous school with long halls where you can actually stretch your legs is great. Seeing familiar faces is great. I miss this. I would rather have stayed here for another semester, taking those 4 courses rather than moving on to a different school. Now, I just have to literally force myself to stay in the classes I'm taking in Milwaukee. I am so tempted to just stop since the position I have found and am interested in doesn't require for me to be have a certificate (or license, for that matter). Bummer, eh? Only 13 more weeks, only 13 more weeks, only 13 more weeks.

Piece o' Cake!
Thursday, January 21, 2010
No, not that ugly cake that I made Josh for his birthday, but the ride to Milwaukee. Remember me telling you all that I wrote my will, said my final good-bye's, and ate my favorite "last" meal? No? Okay, because I didn't BUT I was sick to my stomach not wanting to take that drive for the first time by myself.
As I was approaching the highway before having to merge onto the Intersate, I was praying to God, my teeth were chattering, my palms were sweating, my face was twitching, and my eyes were watering. I got my spedometer up to 70MPH and got my nervous butt onto that 3-lane interstate . . . . and it all disappeared. Disappeared like I was simply conjuring up the physical things that were happening to me but I wasn't; the steering wheel was steamy and my heart was finding its perfect beating pace all over again. Before I knew it, I fit right in with the traffic, in the fast lane, driving as if I did this kind of thing every day. 55 highway miles later, I got to school safely and perfectly fine.
As I sat in class, all I could think about was the ride home in the dark. Well, same thing. All went perfectly fine! I found myself passing people up, being the more talented driver above the other people around me. It felt so good! I felt a sense of empowerment, knowing that I just tackled one of my biggest fears all my myself (and God's protection).
I have officially driven to and from Milwaukee twice and I do admit that when I think about having to take that long ride by myself, my heart skips a beat and I get that tingly, weak feeling in my bladder (but without the wet, warm feeling!), but the difference now is that I know that I am in control. :-] Milwaukee, bring it on, baby!

I did it . . .
Thursday, January 14, 2010
. . . However, I hated it. I told you guys why I was so scared to drive on the highway, but I realized that it wasn't the merging that was the problem. The ride to Milwaukee wasn't so bad, but the ride from Milwaukee was horrible. Josh was with me, so that made things a little better (or maybe worse), but I absolutely hated it. On the ride home, I figured out what it was: loud semi trucks, the fear of missing my exit, being ran off the road, my tire going flat and causing me to lose control of the car, being side-swiped. As you can see, it is a whole list of things. The whole way to and from school, I was asking Josh "what if" questions and he was answering them. He's a good supporter. Half way home, I became overwhelmed and just started crying which, by the way, made things worse because I couldn't see anything because of my clouded eyes! I told Josh that I am going to drop out of the classes and just forget about the Social Work thing. I cannot drive to and from Milwaukee 30 times by myself. I was hoping that by me saying this, Josh would offer to drop out of his night classes so that he can escort me, but that plan didn't work out so well. With all due respect to Josh, the main thing that is keeping me from leaving the Social Work thing in the dust (all because of this dreaded ride) is Krissy telling me, "It's things like these that make those little muscles stronger." I love you, Krissy. :-]
I guess she's right; I am a grown woman that needs to learn to be independent in many areas, including this one. I cannot depend on Josh for everything. I will drive to Milwaukee 30 times and home from Milwaukee 30 times. I will do that while being confident and know that I can do this. I don't want to do it, but I will. :-]

We can't merge going 35!
Tuesday, January 12, 2010
I start school tonight! As you all know, I am starting the Social Work program at Upper Iowa University (they have an extension school in Milwaukee). Milwaukee is an hour drive from where I live, which wouldn't be so bad if I weren't traumatized in high school (more of that later!). The class is from 5:30-10p.m. which is crazy, especially in an area that I'm not familiar with. I mean, Josh and I have taken a trip to the school a while ago, and it wasn't so bad, but it was daytime and I had him. Tonight Josh is going to drive, but tomorrow night, Josh is going to be the passenger while I drive so that I can get a feel of the highway and have no need to worry next week when I'm going by myself. I think tonight and tomorrow night will be fun because we will have a 2-hour car ride together and Josh will be at the school waiting for me (doing what? No idea!), how sweet is he?! But, next week (and 14 weeks after that), I will be going it alone. :-[
So, what happened in high school that was sooo traumatizing?
In Driver's Ed., there are three different sections (not including classroom time): simulation, range, and behind-the-wheel. Well, it was towards the end of the semester and I was on the highway section of "behind-the-wheel." It was raining the day it was my turn go figure! so I was even more nervous. This would be the first time I merged (or drove) on a highway. Period. So, me, the teacher, and 2 other students headed to the nearest merging ramp with me in the driver's seat. Before turning onto the ramp, there was a 3-way stop sign. There was an SUV at the stop sign directly across from me. Well, I had the right-of-way, but the SUV decided he did. He cut me off and his tire caught the muddy mess on the side of the road. His SUV took a couple rolls down the steep hill and stopped and the bottom of the hill. I was freaking out! I thought it was my fault and was bawling! The teacher had me pull over and he got out of the car, looked down the hill (to check on the guy), and came running back to the car. He slammed the door, breathing hard, and pressed my leg down on the gas pedal yelling "Go! Let's go! Faster! We can't merge going 35!" So, what did I do? Cry some more. He expected me to just be able to drive down the highway, cars speeding 70 MPH+ past us, smiling while driving "10 and 2?" Yeah, right! I was crying, freaking out, and most of all, traumatized. We merged as soon as we had the chance and made our way back to the school.
As for "the man," I have no idea what happened or what the teacher saw.
Now, tell me that I have no reason to be traumatized to merge onto a highway.

It was my addiction
Friday, December 18, 2009
That's it? I've taken my last final, all homework, papers, binders are put together and I am not excited. Not even a little. People keep asking, "Are you excited it's over??" and of course I say yes because that's what I'm supposed to say, right?
On the way home from school today, it hit me. It's over. I have mixed feelings and here's why:
Josh and I have always said that I am going to work up until we have kids; then I can stay home and raise and teach our little babies. I'm totally all for that. I have thought about going to Grad school and getting my Master's Degree, but why would I spend $50,000+ if I don't plan on working and actually using the Degree? It makes more sense to get my Social Work license (which I am still doing January-May), because it enables me to actually work and make money up until having kids without spending thousands of dollars on a pretty piece of paper. I don't mean to sound so "snoody," but I plan on being a mom for a living, so why would I continue in school?
I think that secretly, deep down inside, school is my addiction. I feel like What's left? I mean, I've been in school since pre-school and I've loved it. I've been stressed at times, but I loved it. I love feeling rushed and down to the last minute crunches, I love procrastination. I think it was like my high. It made me happy in some odd, strange way. I guess the bright side is that I will have more time to work out and sleep.
Shhh, don't tell anyone but I'm already looking at "just-for-fun" classes.

Christmas parties and homework
Sunday, December 13, 2009
Am I the only one wondering where all the snow is? Attending Christmas parties while the green grass is showing just is not the same thing as lots of snow. This weekend, I had two Christmas parties to attend, so I've been pretty busy. On Friday, me and Josh made some Chocolate Candy Cane Cookies and homemade hot chocolate mix for my family Christmas party. I'm not one that likes hot chocolate, but the stuff we made was delicious! We needed to make 10 gift things (2 for each adult couple in the family), and it was pretty funny . . . we ran out when we only had 8 made. You know how there is always that one person in your family that . . . well, nevermind. Theirs isn't quite "homemade." Shh. But, I wish I had taken pictures of everything because it looked so pretty! I was very proud of the work we did.
Now that it's Sunday afternoon, the pain and teeth-pulling begins. Homework. And lots of it. 10-page paper and 14-page paper. But hey, guess what?! This is my last week of school! I'm really excited because of graduation and because I will have a whole week off of work. I thought that after 17 years of school, I deserved a little pat on the back, eh?
Well, here's to getting all of my homework done today so that I can focus on studying for exams!

Busy school week and a beatiful diamond ring
Sunday, December 6, 2009
5 days ago. That's when I wrote my latest blog . . . what a long time! I haven't really had a chance to blog because it's my last week of school! I say that with all of the excitement that my voice will allow. I cannot believe that I am almost done. This week is my last week, but I still have finals, so I am not totally done yet. I have been busy writing papers, doing projects, and studying for exams.
I don't know if I mentioned it to you all yet, but I finally got my graduation announcements in the mail! It really made it real to me. So, I have been thinking, I think I am going to dish out the money and get some graduation pictures done. I am going to get a traditional cap and gown photo and one that is just fun. The only thing about it though is that I cannot get them done until after graduation because I will not have my degree "folders" to use as props for the photos. I really wanted to get the photos done sooner so that I can send them out with announcements the week of graduation, but it probably will not be until the first week of January. Bummer.
Last night, I went to my old roommate's bridal shower. She is so stinkin' cute and full of personality. I love that girl so much! For a game that we played throughout the night, we all had to wear this fake (but cute) solitaire diamond ring. All I have to say is that I kept it on my finger to show Josh, "This . . . This is it!" Hopefully he got the message. Speaking of which, something tells me that I won't be waiting much longer. ;-]

Work, Work, Work
Friday, November 13, 2009
Thanks to Ms. Krissy, me and a friend are going to a small women's conference tonight! I'm pretty excited because I haven't been to any type of Christian conference since about 5 years ago. The only thing is that it is a 2-day conference, but I think we are only going tonight. It's titled, "Teaching Women not to be Desperate." . . . or something along those lines. I know, not very informative, but I will let you all know what it was all about. :-]
I don't know if I've mentioned before, but I am working in partnership with an organization close by that provides services for grieving children (i.e., loss of a sibling, parent, etc.). I am collaborating with a group to rewrite their needs statement, develop an entrance/exit survey for their clients, and create a PowerPoint show for donors. In other words, help them get more funds. Tomorrow, I am volunteering to help out at a silent auction that they are having. Not looking forward to that. I've never been to one of those, so it should be pretty interesting. But hey, they best part of all of this is that when I graduate, helping this organization will look very attractive to my future employers. And I guess I am getting some experience, too. :-]
School is coming to an close, so I apologize if I'm not posting nearly as much as I used to; it's really crunch time right now, so I've got to buckle down and get things done.

"That Christian"
Wednesday, October 21, 2009
I was absolutely blown away by what I witnessed today after class.
My school is very liberal, so it's very rare that you'll hear of or know a Christian on-campus. There are a few Christian Student Organizations, but I cannot say whether or not they are successful because I don't go to either of them. Now, when I was leaving school today, there were students standing outside with huge posters with very large red writing on them that said things like, "Masturbation is immoral," "Flee for sexual immorality," "Sex before marriage is sinful." Now, am I the only one that sees something wrong with this? In addition to that, the students holding these signs were ARGUING with a group of students about their signs. They were literally yelling, not speaking gently.
Okay, first of all, I do not agree with the fact that these students are on-campus holding these signs up, pointing the finger at "those sinners." As Christians, we are called to love our neighbors, not point the finger. And the fact that the signs are only tackling sexual impurities is wrong, too. College students are not all about sex (although some are). Just like the general population, many college students are also financially irresponsible, slaves to alcohol, liars, cheaters, etc. Just like everyone else! It bothers me that people portray college students so negatively. What makes us/them different from everyone else? Why are those signs only targeted towards sexual impurities?
Second, those students were immaturely arguing with bystanders. You would think a cult had taken over the campus! People have their own opinions and others need to respect that. Because those students were already putting themselves "out there," they seemed to feel that they were carrying a stigma, so they carried themselves that way. They seemed like they were standing out there with their guards up and acting very defensive. Obviously people standing around were curious, they should have been able to spiritually prepare themselves to witness lovingly and strategically spread God's Word. Not throw it out there disrespectfully.
Don't get me wrong, I sincerely admire the boldness of those students, but I'd wish it had been handled differently. Something tells me that what they were doing was not Spirit-led. I really wish I had the "guts" to go out like that, wear my faith on my sleeve, and share God with others . . . but I'm not. I'm too quiet and reserved when I'm uncomfortable. I would never want to be "that Christian." I want to be a Christian that people don't run and hide from. A Christian that people respect and admire. A Christian that is Spirit-led. Never "that Christian."
*Please note: This blog is very opinionated. Please respect my views and know that I am not attacking any person or group in particular. Only the situation that occurred today. Feel free to leave comments below, sharing your thoughts and opinions.

simplistic entertainment
Saturday, September 5, 2009
Half a week of school can be exhausting! This is my seventh semester of college and I have never had to go every single day . . . until now. It really stinks. I have always had the convenience of going to class every other day. Because I am packing my schedule full, I will never have to drive to Parkside again after December. Woo Hoo!!
Because it has been such a hectic, stressful week, I think I just want to relax today. Unfortunately I had to work this morning, but when I get home, I am going to go rent some movies, clean, work out, shower, cook dinner, and just relax . . . all day. I feel like busy-ness was my life story all summer, but when you can't slow down and relax whenever you want, you tend to appreciate it more when you finally get the chance.
. . . random . . . but as I'm writing this, I watched a kid across the street run his car into his fence, crack his side-view mirror, pull forward, reverse, and then take the whole thing off; maybe he should be relearning some basic driving concepts. He doesn't think anyone saw him, but I did . . .
Anyway, me and my lover haven't gotten a chance to simply hang out. During the summer, we are always going here, stopping there, walking to this place, rollerblading to that place; we never just sit around and be bored anymore. I think that renting movies, eating a home-cooked meal, and baking cupcakes together would be fun and relaxing for us both. I miss him. I mean, we are always together but not always together if you know what I mean. People can be in each other's presence, but not enjoying each other's presence for the simplicity that it holds. I want to be able to do that more often . . . just enjoy simple company and not have to be doing entertaining things all the time.
Enjoy your Saturday whether action-packed or slow!

Second Grade, Thirteen Years Later
Monday, August 31, 2009
My first day of second grade was one of the most scary days of my life. It wasn't like I was starting a new school; this was my second year at the same school. My mom came with to drop me off (like every other student's mom) and she had her video recorder to make sure she captured every moment. I had some friends that I knew from first grade and from over the summer, but for some reason, I was deathly afraid of starting class again. I know, it sounds silly, but I absolutely did not want to go back. When the bell rang and all of the students started flooding the school and finding their classes, I was clenched to my mom's leg, crying, begging her not to leave. When we finally found my class, I went in, and my mom saw this girl that had the same shoes as I did. In order for my mom to help me "make a friend," she pointed it out. My mom captured the whole thing on video. I guess my mom hurried her way out . . . I didn't notice.
Thirteen years later and for some odd reason, I am feeling the same thing. The only difference now is that I am 21 years old, my mom doesn't drop me off to school, I am an (almost) independent woman, and most importantly, I am beginning my last semester of college. I am dreading going back to school; not because I don't want the workload, in fact, I love homework. I love going to class . . . it makes me feel sophisticated. I have that very familiar feeling: fear. I cannot point my finger on what exactly is triggering these feelings. Is it because Josh won't be there, keeping me company? Is it because I am testing myself by taking a heavy course load? Is it because this is my last official semester of college and off into the real world I go? I have no idea why I'm being a "scaredy cat," but hopefully all goes well this semester.

Almost too good to be true
Tuesday, July 21, 2009
So, I am proud of myself for actually blogging twice in one day! Earlier I mentioned that I was going to go visit my school for the Spring semester. Well, I did. I cannot remember the last time that I have been so excited and relieved! It really seems that everything is falling into place and I couldn't be more grateful for that.
So, the purpose of me going to this school is to get my Social Work Training Certificate. In the state of Wisconsin (which is where I hope to work), in order to become a Social Worker, you need to have a Bachelor's in Social Work. I don't have that. Instead, I will have a Bachelor's in Sociology and Psychology. Because the three fields are closely related, they will waive the whole "Bachelor's in Social Work" jazz and allow you to take 4 additional classes, take an exam, and you have your training certificate which ends up being the equivalent to a Bachelor's in Social Work. The reason that this was such a big deal was because I could not find a school at all that offered a program to get the certificate. Now that I have finally found the school, I can rest assured and know that I will be able to have the required education for my career choice.
Any way, I went in to the open house and filled out an application and met with an advisor. I think I got the most helpful advisor I have ever had. It was very simple. She said that because I was coming in as a transient student (non-degree seeking), I would not need to submit my transcripts from my three previous schools (which is a very long, drawn out process). She also explained to me that the four classes that I need are scheduled perfectly to where I would only have to drive to Milwaukee once a week, and for the other class I would only have to go to Racine. Big difference! So, in the end, I will be taking two late classes each week and will not have to drive to Milwaukee for them both! She said I am accepted into the school and can register in November. I am so happy for this because it does not conflict with my work schedule.
Come May, 2010, I will officially and legally hold the title "Social Worker" and be able to start working! This whole thing feels surreal. I have been busting my butt and working so hard and I am finally able to see the silver lining. It is all coming together and I can clearly see what I've accomplished.
I think that the one lesson I have learned throughout this whole college experience is that you are not always going to have someone there guiding you. In fact, you will have to plan and advise yourself 99.9% of the time. When you do everything yourself, it really pays off and you feel a greater accomplishment. I am just so grateful that I have made all the right moves so far!

Guess who's back . . .!
I have officially annoyed myself. I have not blogged since forever and I keep telling myself, " That's something to blog about . . . " and I have not blogged in about 2 weeks. Remember me saying my goal when I first started was to blog every day? These classes that I am taking are going to be done by the end of this weekend, so I will definitely make it my goal (again) to blog almost every day. I really miss going sitting down and making myself think about something worth blogging about and realizing that I actually had an interesting day, whether I thought so or not.
I guess these last two weeks away have been pretty eventful. Me and Josh have been driving back and forth to this not-so-small town in Wisconsin that we have found really, really nice and think we want to eventually live there! We have always wanted to live in Tennessee because it is so beautiful there with the old farms, hills, and "nothingness." I guess this place in Wisconsin doesn't offer all of that, but it really does remind me of Tennessee, in a way. So, maybe we will keep looking into that place and hopefully eventually settle down in Tennessee.
I have also been bringing these online summer classes to an end. I have already finished one and still have the other two to go, but they will be done soon. I have a 15-page paper and a 12-page paper due by Saturday and after that, it will all be a breeze. I am just excited to have the classes done and enjoy my one month before classes start up again. Speaking of which, I have finally found a school where I can get my Social Work Training Certificate! I don't know if I have talked about this in previous blogs, but it has been so hard and I thought I would never find a school. It is an extension school of Upper Iowa University in Milwaukee and I should be completely done with school next May. At least I have a huge milestone in between so that I actually feel like I have been working toward something! Anyway, me and Josh are going to Milwaukee tonight for their open house and so that I can apply and talk to an advisor; I will let you all know how that goes.
I am going to keep this short because I hope to blog again tonight, if I don't . . . well, I will be back soon enough!

Ten Twenty Eight

Hooray for day number two! I am actually pretty excited to blog today . . . even though it wasn't a very adventurous day. Today was such a beautiful day, so me and Josh went for a walk. I challenged Josh in doing flips and it's official: my arms (and wrists) are stronger than his. Not to mention, I do better flips! If you can't tell, I'm a competitive person. I always win.
While we were walking there were these two women that were horseback riding and trying to get their horses across this bridge. Josh says that horses are pretty hard to break and it's not easy to get them to cross bridges, water, or anything like that. Eventually they got them across the bridge and I was thinking, "I really want a horse!" So, this has been on my mind since forever, but I really want one now. If it weren't against city code, I would totally put a horse in my backyard and he'll be my new way of transportation. Forget fighting over oil. We decided that as soon as we get married, get our house, and get settled in, we are going to get two horses. One with pink shoes.
Okay, so I have had this laptop since last May and it has been working well. When I ordered it, Josh told me, "No, you don't need more than a year warranty, if something doesn't go wrong the first year, it won't later either." Well, all of a sudden at the beginning of May, my hard drive started acting up. My computer wouldn't load, programs began to disappear, and it would always freeze. We called Dell and they sent us a "new" hard drive. I was so excited to get the hard drive in the mail. I don't think Dell could have found a bigger sticker with bolder print that said REFURBISHED. Seriously. My computer worked for 3 days and it started doing the same thing! Now, we called Dell today and they said, "We can't help you, your warranty is up." HELLO, I ordered the "new" hard drive while I was under warranty, so this is all your fault, don't you understand? Maybe we will try again tomorrow because I am not going to spend $150 on a new drive that they should have supplied me with in the beginning. Whatever. It doesn't make any sense at all. Now I am sitting here typing this blog with a jacked up computer that keeps freezing. Good thing it auto saves this because you wouldn't be hearing from me today if not.
I really admire people that can endure long distance relationships. There really is something about being able to remain faithful and patient while waiting for your other half to return. Being apart really is hard and not everyone can do it. Some people simply say they can't trust their mate, they can't be patient, whatever. This is why I say patience and faithfulness are admirable features. What is really beautiful to me is when both halves are patient and faithful. Distance and absence are two hard obstacles to overcome, but is well worth it in the end. These people are wise enough to see that. Keep on keeping on, girl.
Oh my goodness, one last thing. So far, 3 out of 7 of the class's grades I took this Spring have been turned in and I have 2 A's and 1 B. My goal was to get straight A's. Especially when one professor told our class that he simply does not hand out A's in his class. How ridiculous is that?! Well, he was my first B. Jerk. He better hope I get another B so that I can project this potential low GPA on someone other than him.
Random fact: Coca-Cola would be green if coloring weren't added to it.
